Hong Kong, China.

Red China is green.

The economy is in hyperdrive.

Buy! Buy! Buy! Faster! More! MORE!

This is payback for eating all those panda bears, isn't it?

Bangkok, Thailand.

It's five in the morning.

I haven't slept.

I'm trying to acclimatize my body back to North American time before my trip home.

This is a terrible idea.

Goodbye Bangkok.

Bangkok, Thailand.

Wow.

They have the best pet stores here in Thailand.

A place where they care so much about pets that they call them super.

It's all too rare to see this kind of love for animals in America.

Way better than Petsmart.

They have all these nice children working in there. They all are so so nice.

I tell the nice people "Cats can't play Ping Pong, Silly!" They don't seem to understand.

They kept asking me if I could donate money to them to help them show me more cats.

They were also very concerned with the cleanliness of the pet store... one of the children kept telling me "Mista! I clean! I clean! No worry! I clean!". Clearly, this child was only concerned with the upkeep of her establishment.

I don't know where all the animals were. They had all these cages, but they were full of more of the employees, I guess that they were cleaning. Strange.

Bangkok, Thailand.

The speed of everything is so fast.

Warm smells. Flashing lights. Loud noises.

Everything you've heard is true.

It's overwhelming.

This city is a video game come to life.

Midair.

I’m writing this on a plane. I’m flying over Afghanistan. Yes… THAT Afghanistan.

I didn’t think that was allowed. I guess the kind folks at Finnair don’t have any beef with the Taliban.

Speaking of beef. I’m eating Reindeer. Yes…. Like Rudolph. It must be a Finnish thing. I’ve never had a flight attendant ask me if I’d like the Chicken or the Reindeer for dinner before. It’s a no-brainer.

Helsinki, Finland

Helsinki, Finland.

I think that the national anthem of Finland is the Nokia ring tone.

I hear it everywhere.

This is a land where having a Sony Ericson phone is akin to treason.

A beautiful place with an affinity for double letters.

Frankfurt, Germany

You wake up in Frankfurt.

A large airport, a small city.

You have vague memories of alcohol, ice cream, sleep and omelletes.

Vorsprung durch technik!

Mexico City, D.F.

Mexico City.

30 million people in the midst of the most amazing urban jungle on earth.

Everyone says "Hola". They pronounce it "O-LA". Meanwhile, I say "HOLLA!!"

The humor is lost on most.

Viva la revolution!
